Day 19

Here is another shot I took at the Vatican in 2006. I just got this roll developed yesterday. One factor where I begin to wonder if digital is better than film is when it comes to instant gratification. I know there are a million reasons why looking at your pictures right away is both a great tool and gratifying, but then you never get to experience that feeling of picking up your pictures at the store and seeing what they hold, or don't.

Day 14

This was taken in the Vatican in 2006. Again, it is a photo with considerable grain. I believe this was shot on Ilford 400 and pushed to 800. Before going to the Vatican, I had seen many photos with the sun coming through the dome and thought they were "doctored" to look like that. Not true, that's the light comes through. By far, one of the most amazing man made things I have seen in my life.
